Two Worlds Cancer Collaboration

The Sunflower Children’s Program

In South Asia, it’s estimated that less than 4% of patients who would benefit, have access to palliative and end-of-life care. Oral morphine and other effective pain control medications are largely unavailable in these countries.

Two Worlds Cancer collaborates with local health care professionals and organizations to enhance palliative and end-of-life care for children and adolescents, including pain management and psycho-social support.

As part of the Sunflower Children’s Program, Two Worlds Cancer has developed clinical training opportunities designed to match the learning needs of health care professionals in India, Nepal and Bangladesh. The program allows health care professionals to gain valuable knowledge and skills which they can use to improve the care they provide for children with serious or chronic conditions.

I was privileged to film this amazing and sustainable NGO project recently in Hyderabad, India.
