Vita
Aline, born in 1992, is a photographer and filmmaker. She lives in Neustadt an der Weinstraße (Pfalz, South-West Germany).
Her work focuses on the tension between humans and nature, the psychological and ecological effects of climate change, identity crises of Indigenous people and nature conservation practices. Portraits of artists also play a key role in her portfolio. Aline’s work is well researched, authentic and characterized by respect for the protagonists. She enjoys meeting new people, exploring unknown places and going on adventures. Therefore all her images are based on light, whether shot with analogue or digital cameras, and aren’t AI generated.
Aline studied photography (Bachelor of Arts) and film (Master of Arts) at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts. As part of her studies, she spent a semester abroad in Nottingham, England.
Since 2019, Aline has been focusing on Indigenous North American culture. Her personal work WHERE DO WE GO? shows portraits of eleven Indigenous people. These include a residential school survivor, thriving fashion designers and the owners of the world’s only modeling agency for exclusively Indigenous people. WHERE DO WE GO? was exhibited at Rotterdam Photo Week 2023 and published in 360° North America magazine.
In her free time you will find Aline mountain biking, climbing or hiking.
