Für die MISEREOR Fastenaktion 2023 reiste ich mit meinem Team mehrere Wochen ins Hochland von Madagaskar. Unter Anderem begleiteten wir Bodo Razafiniaina durch ihren Alltag.
Zwei Jahre, nachdem ihr Mann gestorben war, fand sie Unterstützung für ihren Lebensweg als alleinstehende Frau. Seit 2012 besucht sie die Trainings der Hilfsorganisation Vahatra. „Dort lerne ich, wie man Reis auf Vorrat hält, werde beim Hausbau unterstützt und erfahre, wie ich die Rechte für mein Land erwerbe.“ In Madagaskar ist es ein großes Problem, dass Witwen das Land nach dem Tod des Mannes einfach weggenommen werden kann, wenn kein Landrechtszertifikat auf ihren Namen existiert.

For the MISEREOR Lenten Campaign 2023, I travelled with my team for several weeks to the highlands of Madagascar. Among other things, we accompanied Bodo Razafiniaina through her everyday life.
Two years after her husband died, she found support for her life journey as a single woman. Since 2012, she has been attending the trainings of the aid organisation Vahatra. „There I learn how to stock rice, get support to build a house and learn how to acquire rights for my land.“ In Madagascar, it is a big problem that widows can simply have their land taken away after the death of their husband if there is no land rights certificate in their name.
